Steve Knightley, of St Ives September Festival patrons Show of Hands, will bring his highly anticipated 2018 solo tour Songs & Stories to this year’s Festival.
Multi-award-winning songwriter Knightley invites his audience on a musical journey, charting the winding roads of his unrivalled career, at St Ives Guildhall on Wednesday, September 19. The Show of Hands frontman will showcase a set list peppered with gems like Cousin Jack, AIG and Country Life.
In a rare glimpse into the personal playlist of a songwriting legend, Knightley also pays tribute to some of his influences, from Dylan to Radiohead.
Steve says, “The 2018 solo tour gives me an excuse to bring out songs from some of my favourite artists and also to share plenty of stories of life on the road – both usually reserved for late nights around a campfire.”
Looking forward to returning to St Ives, Knightley says: “For over 30 years St Ives Festival has been one of the must-play events for those of us on the Folk, Roots and Acoustic music scene.
“With the summer rush of holiday makers over, the town draws down music lovers from all over the country for a whole host of events from outdoor poetry and song in Norway Square to Celtic music in the Guildhall and earthy Blues in the Western Hotel.”
