Is this man the best Ukulele player of all?
We think so. Come judge for yourselves – and marvel at the young maestro whose skills set him apart from the rest. Moonlight Serenade on the ukulele? You got it. The William Tell Overture on the uke-banjo? No problem. This is the first appearance at the Klub by a dazzling performer with an infectious stage personality who has been honing his act since he was a kid in short pants.
Hailing from Lancashire, Andy Eastwood studied classical violin and piano before developing a passion for prewar jazz and pop music. The only musician to give his Oxford University degree recital on the ukulele, he is today recognized as one of the world’s foremost exponents of that instrument. Though Andy would doubtless acknowledge fellow Lancastrian George Formby as a primary influence, his technical prowess on his chosen instrument qualifies him as far more than a tribute act. Catch him in a rare appearance in London at The Kalamazoo Klub.
