Radford Mill in association with Jack Bird would like to invite you to the first ever TANGLED ROOTS FESTIVAL of Contemporary Folk, Roots and Traditional music. Held on the weekend of the 15th June 2019 at Radford Mill, Timsbury, Somerset.
The site, just South of the City of Bath is an organic farm and artistic centre where a variety of creatives, farmers and market gardeners, live and work. The Festival will be concentrating on Acoustic, Folk, Roots and Traditional music from around the world.
TANGLED ROOTS is intended to be an inclusive and participatory event. There are open stage spots for any budding performers and we encourage informal sessions throughout the weekend with invited artists starting us of with short sets around the Campfires.
The festival takes place in the beautiful grounds of Radford Mill Farm in Timsbury, south of the City of Bath. The festival grounds are bisected by the Cam Brook and have been landscaped to include an amphitheatre area, fire pits and many lovely spots for a truly enchanting and memorable experience.
The festival is intended to be a small scale and intimate affair with limited tickets numbers. In 2019 this means an absolute maximum of 500 Guests. The main event will be on the Saturday, but camping is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
There will be home cooked award-winning food prepared, and often grown, on the farm, a licensed bar, and art & craft stalls. The Mill and Farm is home to several projects and creatives, and many will be arranging stalls to display and sell their work.
Radford Mill farm itself is a historic mill and farm that has been fully organic since 1976. The lands and mill are home to several local projects including a market gardener, a landscape designer, a potter and several artists.
The camping area is site just a short stroll from the main arena and the car parks. Each camping field has running water and permanent compost toilets and can be booked either side of the Festival itself.
Our intention is to make this a festival that values quality over quantity and provides a beautiful experience for those lucky enough to have discovered us.
