Keystone are Pam Stone, vocals and tenor ukulele, husband Peter, acoustic guitars and bouzouki.
Based in Featherstone, West Yorks they play a mix of Americana, folk, jazz and blues tailored to suit their audience.
Since 2011, Pam and Peter have played as guests at folk clubs and festivals across Yorkshire and beyond. ‘Their smooth style in quick-fire banter between numbers has kept audiences enthralled whereever they have played’. (Frank Auffret, Organiser of Bilsdale Folk Club).
They are just as happy to play a small cafe, bistro or real-ale pub as a large club or open-air festival.
At a gig you are likely to hear songs by Steve Earle, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Bob Dylan as well as material from newer artists like Tift Merritt and Kasey Chambers. Original material, written by Pam now appears in the sets. Her composition, ‘Freddie Gilroy’ was recently voted in 3rd. place at BAMfest’s Songwriters Competition.
Keystone can play ‘unplugged’ or with their Bose PA for small intimate gigs or with their larger Mackie PA. Peter enjoys taking his Lowden and Fylde guitars out to play.
Keystone aim to engage with, and entertain their audience – participation is encouraged – as they say “Music is for sharing” …
