SIOBHAN MILLER wins an unprecedented third BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards ‘SCOTS SINGER OF THE YEAR’

“One of the best Sottish traditional singers on the planet” (fRoots), Siobhan Miller has been named the Citty Finlayson Scots Singer of the Year at the BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards 2017 – for an amazing and unprecedented third time!

Whilst no other vocalists have taken home the same award as many times, neither has any act in any category in the 15 years of the awards – such is the draw and appeal of Siobhan’s stunning vocals.

Shortly after clinching the title, Siobhan also performed at the awards ceremony on Saturday night, which was televised live on BBC Alba and streamed worldwide. Watch her performance on the BBC iPlayer (UK only) here. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b09h2stz/na-trads-2017#

Siobhan’s third title comes at the end of a year where she released her widely acclaimed second album, Strata, alongside nationwide touring.
