A new regular Sea Shanty and Maritime Music session has started up in Liverpool, hosted By Trim Rig and A Doxy, Mick & Mary McGarry and Andy Kenna. What else could it be in Liverpool, the spiritual home of the sea shanty. Entry is free and all are welcome both singers and listeners alike.
The session, callled ‘Off The Starboard Bow’, is held in the Baltic Fleet Public House . The Baltic Fleet is the last surviving sailor town pub at the heart of Liverpool’s historic dock land.
Dates: Last Saturday of every month – this will include Saturday 31st December 2011, New Years Eve. From 8.30pm onwards.
Venue: The Baltic Fleet, Wapping, Liverpool, Merseyside, L1 8DQ. (The Back room we use is to the right of the rounded front of the pub they call the bow.)
